Gum TreeJohn is a Brisbane Meanjin based photographic artist who lives with depression and social anxiety. In his early fifties he discovered that he had complex trauma and has recently found out he is neurodivergent. Due to his neurodivergence, John approaches photography in his own way, adopting what is known by some as photographic expressionism.
