NDERoo is a Brisbane Meanjin based artist mainly working with ballpoint pen. Her challenging and traumatic upbringing led to Roo finding beauty in escaping into all things creative. Coming from a family not able to afford much, she often scavenged pens to teach herself how to draw. Fast forward to Roo's adult years, and she faced countless and relentless adversities. In the wake of family sickness and subsequent deaths, Roo found solace in art once more.
